CBC.ca - Canada Votes - Harper delivers 6-point plan for economy after election win

This is kind of poetic.  After a campaign of not really saying anything in specifics, the Conservatives release their “6 point plan for the economy!!”.  I’ve never six more ambiguous points in my life.

I’m kind of upset with the conservatives keeping thier cards so close to their chests.  I think the Government’s number one mandate is not exclusively “to protect our country’s economy, our earnings, our savings and our jobs during a time of global economic uncertainty” (Stephen Harper) but rather to give the voters a detailed account of your plans to protect the economy, and whatever else you plan to do while in power.

Canadians did not elect the conservatives to empower a Stephen Harper dictator.  I think we need more from our leader than sound bytes and buzz words.  I think we deserve to know the substance of his plans.  That way, we can let our MPs know if we disagree with policy by writing letters, and the democratic process can go forth as it was meant to.
